2022 NPL Survey

We  conducted, together with the Business Reorganisation Questionnaire, a short survey on non-performing loans (NPL) in all 38 economies where the EBRD is active. The survey contained a series of perception-based questions aimed at gathering data on the obstacles to NPL resolution in EBRD economies of operations and considered the views of interested parties and local financial institutions to assess its effectiveness.

In total we received 331 completed surveys across 48 jurisdictions. We are grateful to every respondent who invested time in answering the survey. The input of every respondent is invaluable and will contribute to further understanding of the issues driving high NPLs and hampering NPL resolution. We will publish the results of the survey together with the Business Reorganisation Assessment report.
